Taxidermy Snowy Owls (Bubo scandiacus)

Pair of Snowy Owls in an oak corner case with cast rock face background.  The rock face was cast locally by abseiling down a cliff face to cast on location; the mould was taken back to the taxidermy workshop to be cast in fibreglass; then fitted into the case, painted and ice effects added.

This case was shown at the Guild of Taxidermists' annual conference in 2014 and won the Best Case and Best Groundwork.
