Taxidermy Gyrfalcon

Gyrfalcons are one of my favourite birds to do.  They are quite a challenge as their feathers easily show mistakes underneath, so this is definitely a bird to do on a carved or advanced bind-up manikin.

This bird has errors with its colour, head and body co-ordination, eye shape and general lifelike look, but it did win the Bird Taxidermy Competition in 2009.
